About high risk merchant account now
Online payment processing is a must for most businesses today. The recent Internet advancements have made purchasing things online a breeze for consumers. As a merchant, you want to be using the most reliable and timely payment processor to collect money.
Unfortunately, for many industries, it is difficult to find a good payment processor, making it necessary to be very selective when evaluating a payment gateway.
The following guidelines will hopefully help you in your endeavor.
1. Do they have a good reputation?
To validate a merchant service provider's reputation is actually easier than you think. Simply Google for complaints and "ripoff reports" from other merchants. Look for things such as not releasing money on time, or withholding money from merchant for no legitimate reason. Many of the merchant service providers are sharks waiting to take a bit out of the little fish, so do your research before you decided on your merchant service provider.
2. How often do they release money?
3. How much money do they require to keep in reserve? This is to protect the merchant service provider from fradulent merchant who may not deliver the goods as promised.
4. Do they have good customer service? Do they answer your calls and emails promptly?
5. Beware of the bait and switch tactic. Some may offer you rates that are too good to be true, and charge you tons of hidden fees once you sign on, or not release money to you at all.
Always negotiate and never take anything at face value.
